چکیده

Climate variation throughout the year affects photosynthesis and other physiological processes correlated with plant development yield. This study aimed to evaluate changes in attributes of Coffea canephora genotypes over Brazilian Amazon assess their relationship crop The experiment was carried out three cultivation systems genotypes. evaluations were four periods: peak dry season (S1); beginning rainy (S2); (S3); (S4). A dataset gas exchange, pigment indices, chlorophyll fluorescence, branch growth, coffee yield obtained. group exchange variables main contributor treatment discrimination most affected by seasons. As expected, values gs, E, significantly lower S1, while VPDLeaf-ar, TLeaf, IWUE higher. Our results demonstrate that climatic seasonality Amazonian Robustas coffee, even under irrigated conditions, particularly response increased VPD. analyzed at leaf level, different periods, did not explain differences C. canephora.

Galactinol synthase transcriptional profile in two genotypes of Coffea canephora with contrasting tolerance to drought

Increased synthesis of galactinol and raffinose family oligosaccharides (RFOs) has been reported in vegetative tissues in response to a range of abiotic stresses. In this work, we evaluated the transcriptional profile of a Coffea canephora galactinol synthase gene (CcGolS1) in two clones that differed in tolerance to water deficit in order to assess the contribution of this gene to drought tole...

Analysis of Phosphorus Use Efficiency Traits in Coffea Genotypes Reveals Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora Have Contrasting Phosphorus Uptake and Utilization Efficiencies

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Phosphate (Pi) is one of the most limiting nutrients for agricultural production in Brazilian soils due to low soil Pi concentrations and rapid fixation of fertilizer Pi by adsorption to oxidic minerals and/or precipitation by iron and aluminum ions. The objectives of this study were to quantify phosphorus (P) uptake and use efficiency in cultivars of the species Coffea arab...

Evidence of genetic tolerance to low availability of phosphorus in the soil among genotypes of Coffea canephora.

The expansion of agriculture to new areas in order to increase the competitiveness of coffee producing countries has resulted in cultivation expanding into regions with lower natural fertility. This scenario has created the need to differentiate genotypes of Conilon coffee based on their tolerance to low levels of nutrients in the soil, especially phosphorus, which imposes high limitations on c...

Identification of Putative Molecular Markers Associated with Root Traits in Coffea canephora Pierre ex Froehner

Coffea canephora exhibit poor root system and are very sensitive to drought stress that affects growth and production. Deeper root system has been largely empirical as better avoidance to soil water limitation in drought condition. The present study aimed to identify molecular markers linked to high root types in Coffea canephora using molecular markers. Contrasting parents, L1 valley with low ...

Genetic diversity of standard leaf nutrients in Coffea canephora genotypes during phenological phases.

Diagnosing foliar nutritional status is essential for fertilizer recommendations and for the identification of nutrient imbalances. This study aimed to verify genetic diversity and establish mean standards (leaf nutrient contents; LNCs) and relationships among leaf nutrients (LNC relationships; LNCRs) in seven conilon coffee genotypes during both pre-flowering and bean-filling stages. Twenty cr...
